Hair Follicle Simulation
Hair Follicle Simulation in Dubai
Hair loss for women and men can be combated using hair follicle simulation, also known as Scalp micro pigmentation or Scalp tattooing. This is a hair tattoo where pigments are applied in the ‘thinning’ areas into the subdermal layer of the scalp replicating and blending with real hair follicles and hair strands using different shades to subtly infill and recreate the appearance of hair follicles and strands.
This normally takes 2 treatments. A specialized ink is implanted into the scalp using the micro pigmentation tattooing technique, giving the appearance of natural real hair follicles. Head scars can also be hidden or camouflaged by this procedure. The procedure can take from 1 to 5 hours to complete and works for many different conditions and types of hair loss.

Hair thinning facts
It can be a distressing time when men notice signs of thinning hair and hair loss and most men feel self-conscious. Sadly there is little that can combat hair loss. In most cases, it is all down to genetics which can not be controlled.
Surgical procedures can be successful but are extremely expensive, painful, and often cause extensive scarring and there is no guarantee the desired results will be achieved.
Most men experience hair loss at some time in their lives and the causes are varied:
Embrace the problem
One solution to alleviating the distress of hair loss is to embrace it rather than ignore it by attempting to wear styles that only accentuate the problem. A close shave is versatile and looks great on men of all ages and a non-surgical Hair Follicle Simulation treatment can restore the natural appearance of real hair follicles to a completely bald head or hair strands to a thinning head of hair. The treatment is more affordable, less invasive, involves virtually no ‘downtime’, and a natural alternative to hair restoration.
The hair follicle replication procedure used by the therapy offers the look of a fully cropped head of hair which doesn’t fade or diminish as top ups are recommended every 2-3 years.
Hair follicle simulation for women
It is not just men who suffer from hair loss women do too and often it is also caused by the genes passed down through the family or alopecia, stress, hormonal problems, raised testosterone levels and diet. These effects can be devastating with a loss of confidence, femininity, sensuality, attractiveness and of course lead to depression and loss of self esteem.
Approximately 5% of women suffer from hair loss or thinning hair. Exactly the same process is carried out for women who can choose between short or long hair, as the pigmented areas will be much less noticeable than the bare scalp. In a few cases the bare scalp look can look dramatic and appealing and in most of these cases the shadow of simulated hair follicles can look even more attractive.

Crown baldness
Hair loss for women with Crown Baldness can be combatted using hair follicle simulation, where pigments are directly applied to the thinning area amongst existing hair growth. This will give the appearance of a much denser head of hair and camouflage the exposed skin.
Crown balding in men is one of the most common types of degenerative and chronic hair thinning causing baldness. This appearance unfortunately has an aging look ultimately affecting self-confidence. The procedure will rejuvenate the look of the crown, giving a realistic thicker effect. The procedure takes only about an hour with little or no down time. Top-up treatments are recommended to combat the development of crown thinning and baldness proceeding.
Hair Thinning Dubai
Scalp Micro Pigmentation for Women
We are experts at addressing the problem of women’s hair thinning in Dubai due to the desalinated hard water and the chemicals being exceptionally high in chlorine content. Hot and humid weather conditions and outdoor living with many visits to the beach mean we all shampoo our hair far more often than we would normally do so.
Hair loss is a common condition for those living in extreme climates. We resolve this by counteracting the appearance of hair loss and damage with Scalp micro pigmentation by tattooing the area with very fine dots to where the hair follicles would normally be, giving the appearance of a full head of restored hair. Please see below the Before and After images of our work. Women walk away happy and contented with their new look which lasts for years.

Hair follicle simulation for receding hairlines
It is debatable whether it is better to recede or have crown baldness but to have both is a nuisance. The treatment will camouflage your area of concern, leaving you with a strong and attractive hairline and the appearance of thicker hair.

Frequently Asked Question
1. What is Micro pigmentation in Scalp tattooing?
Concerning Hair Follicle Simulation (HFS) Micro pigmentation is a form of cosmetic scalp tattooing where sophisticated skills and techniques are used to implant pigment in to the second layer of the skin. This process is widely used in the advanced beauty and grooming industry. It’s used to enhance facial features, improves scarring, post surgery and scalp. When treating the scalp, technicians can mimic the look of Micro hair follicles, therefore improving the appearance of anyone that is thinning receding or balding.
2. What is involved?
The treatment involves using a semi permanent make up, or cosmetic tattooing machine that has a gentle vibration to implant the chosen shade and tone of pigment into the skin. The needle speed is far slower than that of a tattoo, this enables a soft delicate color. To achieve the best result multiple sessions will be required to build the depth of color.
3. Is this becoming more popular?
I have seen a massive increase in this procedure recently. Even though the concept of micro-pigmentation has been around for decades men are discovering that they can benefit from this as well. With the short shaved look being very popular this is something that will enhance and define the hair line without the cost of a hair transplant. A lot of men can be slightly embarrassed about their hair loss as it can happen as young as 18 years old, Up until now most men believe that the only option is a hair transplant which as you know is very costly. Men are now discovering a more affordable way.
4. What are the benefits of Hair Follicle Simulation?
The main benefit I find when talking to my clients is they feel they look so much younger, having that defined hairline put back and filling in on the top or crown can give a really youthful appearance.
5. Does it hurt? What is the best after-care?
Because we are breaking the skin, as it is the form of tattooing there will be slight discomfort. It is a lot more shallow than a conventional tattoo so it is less painful. A topical numbing gel is used on the area prior to the treatment reducing the discomfort. The best after-care is to keep area clean and dry for five days, I also recommend using a healing balm which is supplied.
6. Is it expensive?
It normally takes about 2 weeks for the scab to naturally slough off. Generally you can return for another treatment after about 6-8 weeks when the treated area should have completely healed.
7. How many sessions would a typical person need?
Between 2-4 sessions
8. Is the effect permanent?
The results do fade over time, and I do advise clients to return every two years for a refresh color maintenance boost. This treatment will be a shorter treatment to top up the colour and to keep the enhancement looking its very best.
9. What would I say to someone who was interested, but a little apprehensive?
I would advice them to do their research, they need to find out about the technician that is performing the treatment and their background in the industry. I would also ask to see photos of their work.
