In this section are frequently asked questions about permanent make up which is also sometimes referred to as semi-permanent makeup, cosmetic tattooing and micro pigmentation.

Everyone likes to look the best they can, all the time. Think how convenient it would be to enjoy perfectly defined eyebrows, wide-awake, pretty alluring eyes and beautifully contoured lips, without having to open your make up bag. All subtle, soft and perfectly in place with no smudging, no mess, no problem. With permanent makeup you have the confidence of knowing you look the best you can look, 24/7.
Most people are suitable for semi permanent makeup. At your scheduled appointment we will discuss precisely which treatments will suit you best. This is a one-to-one consultation where we understand your desired expectations and any features you wish to correct or balance. From this discussion, we will recommend the specific treatments we believe will create the desired effect you want and how it can be achieved.

Permanent Make-up can last for several years but this is dependent on several factors including skin type, sun exposure, lifestyle and chosen colour. Whilst it is ‘low maintenance’ it is not ‘no maintenance’. Rather like hair colour it will need refreshing but much less frequently.

We recommend a colour refresh treatment every 12 to 18 months to maintain perfect results.

Most certainly yes. All our pigments are made of natural minerals specifically selected for their safe, non-toxic and hypo allergenic properties. They are trusted by technicians and cosmetic surgeons worldwide. Ophthalmologists actually recommend eye procedures for women sensitive to conventional cosmetics. Oncologists recommend areola re pigmentation and the eye brow procedure prior to chemotherapy. Safety is of utmost importance and hygiene and sterilisation standards are rigidly followed. Vacuum packed needles are used.

The procedure is performed with your comfort in mind. Great care is taken with an applied topical anaesthetic cream to minimise discomfort. We pride ourselves on taking our time to ensure discomfort is as minimal as possible.

Time and care is taken at the initial personal consultation, no client has ever been unhappy with the end result. This amount of care and time at consultation sadly is not universal in the industry, resulting in new clients coming to us for correctional work or to improve treatments done elsewhere.

Compared with many other cosmetic enhancements, for example dermal fillers and Botox which require frequent and costly maintenance, permanent makeup is a comparatively low cost option. However, in the cosmetic industry it is usually the higher end of the market which will deliver the most effective results. For this reason, quality of service should guide your decision rather than price alone when considering any cosmetic procedure. Our policy is quite clear from our experience of seeing clients with unfortunately disappointing results from less reputable practitioners. This industry is largely unregulated so please do not be driven by price alone. If you cannot stretch to having a tried and trusted bespoke service which is endorsed by proven results , then it is probably better to wait until you can. Permanent makeup is a long term option so rushing into this with someone who is immediately available, could be a regrettable decision.

Most definitely. Rest assured the equipment used is cutting edge and the most technologically advanced. Like medical equipment, semi permanent cosmetic equipment is safe by design against cross contamination. Fully disposable ‘single use only’ needles are used, for your complete safety and peace of mind. Hygiene is of the utmost importance.
Reactions are rare and almost never happen but should you feel apprehensive, you can discuss this when you contact us. Allergy tests are available but not essential as all components and pigments are highly anti allergy tested. Allergy tests are not essential but always offered. You have the choice to have the test or waiver it. If you proceed with the test it would take place at least 24 hours prior to treatment.
The next step is to arrange a consultation. At the consultation you will receive a fully personalised colour analysis, which will take into account your individual skin undertones, hair and eye colour. With the results, the pigment is then chosen or blended as no two people are the same so the pigment mix must be prescribed for each individual. We then discuss your desired look and explain how this can be achieved. All permanent makeup procedures are drawn on first so that you can see how the shape will look. We never start a treatment without absolute client approval, Reputation is built on trust and the patience to get it ‘right’. Initial treatments can take up to 2 hours to complete. Appointments are generally arranged in two stages spaced at 4 to 6 weeks apart; this allows for a safe, comfortable and gradual healing process.
It is not advisable to tint perm or curl your eyelashes for one week prior to treatment and two weeks after. It is also not advisable to tint your eyebrows although you may shape them. Please bring glasses to wear after your eyeliner procedure as contact lenses cannot be worn during the eyeliner treatment or for 24 hours post procedure. For the lip procedures, if you have ever suffered with a cold sore you will be strongly advised to take a 10 day course of Zovirax tablets to minimise the possibility of the treatment triggering an outbreak, which is highly likely.
